IF you truly love your husband, DO NOT EVER send them here for even a half day! I had asked David several times if he was in pain, or had any pain anywhere. He told me no, he just felt like he needed to relax, although he had been sleeping a lot. He was breathing okay, and had even walked out to the backyard to sit. The one nurse said that Hospice House would be good for 5 days and it would give me a little break. The next day a nurse at Hospice House gave him morphine and told me that it was going to help him breathe. It didn't help him, he threw up and was crying. I know David better than anyone in the world, and he would have never agreed to that. I told her that, and I yelled at the doctor, and she said that I had no say so. I told her I had every right to be asked first. The doctor apologized to me and said that he was giving him Narcan to counteract the morphine. He put it up his nose twice. David's eyes rolled back and he gasped for air. They killed him! He just wanted to come home. I truly wish I hadn't trusted them. I know that he was going to die, but probably not for another week or two. He just wanted to stay home with me and the dogs.
